  5. Description:    Shak is a low-level, client backup executive. (A bourne 
  6.         shell program system which runs a user-supplied backup 
  7.         program). Shak places the backup program behind an interface
  8.         of defined environment variables which shak sets according to 
  9.         its index files it keeps for every tape cartridge. This allows
  10.         a single backup program to be multi-host and multi-type.
  11.         Shak does not impose the form of the user backup although 
  12.         includes a POSIX client example.  Shak is fully network 
  13.         transparent and implements cooperative (lock file) locking
  14.         with backup queueing within a network.
